Meet Dr. Alkesh Patel, M.D.
Alkesh Patel, MD founded Family Health & Beauty Center in June 2008. He was a volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center prior to this. He also served as Head of Surgical Male Contraceptive Services at Planned Parenthood of Maryland along with being the main provider for male contraception until February 2019. He has expertise in the treatment of primary care and wellness issues, especially in the field of nutrition counseling, weight management, cosmetic procedures such as laser hair reduction and Botox injections, headaches, insomnia and other minor office procedures. Dr. Patel has interest in medical informatics and the use of technology in medicine. He has also served as the Medical Director for the Family Medicine Inpatient Services while at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Recognized as a Top Doctor in Howard County, Dr. Patel provides thoughtful, attentive care backed by years of clinical experience in family and preventive medicine.
